I’m Katy, a product designer with four years of experience across a range of industries and complex problem spaces. Give me a messy problem, a few competing constraints, and some half-formed ideas, and I’m pretty happy.

I like understanding how things work, deciding what matters, and shaping the details into something people can use. My work has ranged from leading discovery to designing interfaces and working closely with developers to bring them to life.

Lately, I’ve been exploring AI prototyping as a way to move more freely between thinking, designing, and building, and take an idea further while I’m still figuring it out.

The making doesn’t stop after work.

I quilt, make things with my hands, and occasionally discover I’ve made something much harder than it needed to be. When I’m not sewing, I’m usually trying to get outside, preferably somewhere with water, trees, or both.
